Help & Answers
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about UK tiffin subscriptions, our £59 refundable pre-order and how delivery works in London.
- What is a tiffin and what's included in a Tiffin Box meal?
- A tiffin is a freshly cooked, home-style meal traditionally delivered in a stacked steel container. Each Tiffin Box meal includes a main curry (vegetarian or meat), dal or a second curry, fluffy basmati rice or two freshly cooked rotis, plus a small side such as salad, yogurt or pickle. Everything is made the morning of delivery — never frozen, never reheated from yesterday.
- Which UK cities does Tiffin Box deliver to?
- We deliver Monday to Friday across London, with most central postcodes covered. Drop your postcode into the contact form and we'll confirm your street is on the route before you commit.
- How does the monthly tiffin subscription work?
- You pick a plan (vegetarian, mixed or family), choose your weekday delivery slot, and we deliver a fresh tiffin every working day for the month. Plans start from £130/month for 20 lunches. You can pause, swap or cancel before the next billing cycle — no lock-in contract.
- How much does a UK tiffin subscription cost?
- Single-portion vegetarian plans start at £130/month (about £6.50 per meal). Mixed veg + meat plans are £160/month, and the two-portion family plan is £240/month. Delivery is included inside our London zones.
- What is the £59 pre-order and is it refundable?
- The £59 pre-order reserves your delivery slot for our 1 July 2026 launch. It is fully refundable up until your first delivery — if you change your mind we refund the full £59 to your original payment method, no questions asked. On launch, the £59 is credited against your first month's plan.
- Are the tiffins vegetarian, vegan or halal?
- We offer fully vegetarian plans, mixed plans with halal-certified chicken and lamb, and we can accommodate vegan diets on request. Every kitchen surface is separated for veg and non-veg prep. Tell us about allergies (nuts, dairy, gluten) at checkout and we'll confirm whether we can safely cook for you.
- Can I pause or cancel my tiffin subscription?
- Yes. Log into your account any time before the next billing date to pause for a week, skip specific days (holidays, work travel), or cancel outright. There is no minimum term beyond the month you've already paid for.
- What time will my tiffin arrive?
- Lunches are delivered between 11:30 and 13:00, in a 30-minute window we confirm the evening before. The tiffin is hand-delivered and you'll get an SMS when the driver is two stops away.
- Do I need to return the tiffin container?
- Yes — we use real stainless steel tiffins, not single-use plastic. Leave the empty (rinsed) tiffin on your doorstep the next delivery day and the driver swaps it for the fresh one. A £15 refundable container deposit is added to your first order.
- How is Tiffin Box different from a meal-kit or frozen-meal box?
- Meal kits give you raw ingredients; frozen-meal boxes give you reheated factory food. Tiffin Box gives you a ready-to-eat, freshly cooked Indian meal made that morning by home cooks, delivered hot. No cooking, no defrosting, no plastic trays.
